Winning Result for Complement Genomics Team
Over 300 business people attended The Local Business Awards, run by Sun FM, to celebrate the finest businesses and entrepreneurs in our region.
Complement Genomics based at the North East BIC in Sunderland, provide a wide range of testing services including the delivery of contract research through their division Geneblitz®, and paternity testing through their growing division dadcheck®.
The Complement Genomics teams own performance was tested when they received a nomination for the Best Customer Service Award. Chief Executive Officer of Complement Genomics Ltd, Louise Allcroft said: “We were delighted to win the award, after an extremely busy year for our company. It is great for the whole team to get recognition for their hard work.”
The company, which employs five full-time staff members, was one of the first to launch internet based paternity testing via its dadcheck® website and is the only company in the North of England who have been accredited by the Ministry of Justice as a body that can deliver parentage tests directed by the civil courts in England and Wales under section 20 of the Family Law Reform Act 1969. Louise Allcroft said: “During the first weeks of 2009 we received a record number of enquiries for our paternity testing service. All strands of the business require sensitivity and discretion as well as an efficient and friendly service. To win this award is not only motivating for the team, but will hopefully encourage other people and businesses to understand that the service we deliver is welcoming as well as confidential.”
